Seasons of Life

Do you ever have trouble being present in the moment? You can’t focus or think about anything you should be and you think about everything you shouldn’t be. The what ifs and the reality of your own mind takes over and it’s not a reality of truth.

I’ve been going through it. Sprained my ankle working out really bad, which was the least of it. The same day I went to urgent care for x rays, my dad finally went to the ER for pain he was having. He’s been in the hospital a month now. 3 + weeks at a hospital near our hometown and after what seemed like a game of roulette throwing whatever kind of stuck at a plethora of problems, he was transferred. He has been in Jefferson in Philly for a week now … We haven’t stopped praying. Everyday seems to be something new but we haven’t stopped praying.

Life has been hard lately, trying to keep a balance in my own life while trying to be there for my dad and everyone else around me . I am sure some can relate or probably most people. Being present at work has been hard, keeping up with laundry , yardwork, housework , it’s all a lot because it’s not the priority. The priority is my family and my mental health. If that means I don’t do dishes for the week I am good with that and I think it took 30 some years to realize that.

All the material things in life mean nothing without that support system. My best friends and sister have been my saving grace. Last night my friend invited me for a drink and I knew it was what I needed. To just laugh and be with your people is truly medicine for the soul. Listening to yourself and what you need is so important.

Through the seasons of life everyone goes through times that show just how strong we can be, however they are times that aren’t without suffering and grief. Having our moments is crucial because we’re human. We can’t bottle it up, it’s okay to feel vulnerable. But tomorrow is a new day and every moment is a chance to be positive and have hope for the things to come. I hope you have someone that is there when you need it most. It makes all the difference.

As always I appreciate my few readers, you keep me going . Have a great weekend 🥰
